Exhaust Manifold Gasket Rb25 - Alternatives?

Does anybody know whether there are any alternatives to the standard Nissan Exhaust manifold gasket (one from engine to ex.manifold) ??

Need to purchase one soon, to get my rb25 ready for go in.. Just wondering whether there is any alternative than the rather expensive ~$120 or so for the Nissan version??

I only just purchased one through Nissan (Springwood) a week ago and got it for about $85. I got some cheap gasket with my cheap stst manifold but it started leaking so spent the money and got the genuine item from Nissan.

There is an aftermarket gasket which is a bit thicker, and made out of something else. The idea of the product is that it doesn't transfer heat very well, so your exhaust manifold doesn't absorb the heat from the head, only from the exhaust coming out which is a fair bit cooler. Dunno who made it though.

just get a sheet of that gasket material. cut it out yourself. It can be rough. just make sure that the holes line up to the insid eof the flange.
