what do you guys think would be a "cheap" price to pay for a brand new TD05 (to suit my RB25DET)...? There is one locally that is on the shelf for approx. $3200 but they said they may take a grand off to get rid of it. Is this worth getting at this price or is it still too expensive. What will it give me in RWKW over the stock turbo in my R33...?

i believe the TD05 range is way too small for a RB25DET. it's actually smaller than the factory r33 turbo.

they are more suited to 1.8 - 2L engines for responsive setups.

you'd want to go for something like a TD06-20G or even the TD06-25G which are rated b/w 450-500hp.

Get one 2nd hand, and rebuild it for $500.

td05, is rate at 300HP, its about the same size as a HKS GT-2510,

You can buy them second hand for around $1000 (i've seen them go as low as $700)

To put it into perspective, I just bought a brand new TD05-16G turbo for $950.

It's way too small for the RB25 like everyone else just said, you need a TD06 at least.
