errr....cut the story short

just went out to buy macs....

after i got out of macs....i couldn't get into any gear :D

i push the clutch many times and try to see if it helps...but no luck

i turn off the car....then i can push the stick into any gear

so....is this caused by a faulty clutch???? or something wrong with the gearbox (hope not)... :)

PS big thanks to the gentleman and his wife in the range rover helping me to push the car....really appreciated :)

cheers

Daniel

I would say its a clutch problem.

Check the slave Cil. Alot of places when replacing these find it hard to find one that fits straight so the seals get a lot of pressure put onto them.

Once you are sure the Hydrolics are working correctly check the condition of your clutch plate. You will have to remove the gearbox to do this ( A real pain) If you need some help or instructions just pm me i just replaced my clutch so its all fresh in my head

As people have mentioned, the hydraulics (clutch slave cylinder) can go, which will prevent the clutch plate(s) from disengaging (mine started to leak, and I had to pump the clutch to change gear). New slave cyls are fairly cheap. Check the reservoir (next to the brake booster), to see if it has fluid. Its either that, or a mechanical problem with the pressure plate or possibly actuator fork.
