Coil Pack

Hello again,

This is a cont. /update from my last thread 'stalled engine'

It seems the shudder at low revs is due to the coil pack heading towards RIP. (R34 - '98 NA)

Quote for this is $800 or $450 2nd hand.

1st - Is the above quote right?

2nd - If this is left to long could it cause other damage/failure

3rd - Is it something that can be done DIY, and if so any hints/links & where to buy R34 coil pack in Brisbane?

4th - Best place to get it done if the above is not posible?

Are you talking about a coil pack, as in 1 of 6 of them? or the ignitor pack?

If the coils, your best option would be to spend $700 or so and buy a set of Spitfire Coils which are better than the regular Nissan coils. Kudos motorsport on here often gets them (he's goldcoast).. or you can try mecury motorsports (brisbane), and they may be able to sell you some, probably at a bit of a premium. But they will be able to get them for you.

They are generally for turbo engines, but you will probably find they are the same as on your non-turbo.
