Knock Senors "where Are They"

Where are they on a RB20DET never looked for them and im getting that error on my ECU and how much for new ones if i need them.

they are under your plenum

They are located in the block, directly under runners 2 & 5 of the inlet plenum.

The little green things under ports 2 and 5 are the knock sensors.

thats weird i only have one?

The wire goes onto something but theres no green plug thing....is the green plug the knock sensor cause the wire is plugged into something but just not that green thing at the front.

Ive always wondered the same thing, but ive got an RB26. Does anyone know where they are on the GTR engines?

I have seen some rb20 with yellow plugs on the knock sensors. Also should mention if the harness is quite old and heated. These plugs are made of bakerlite and are very fragile and dont take to super glue very well.

Due to this many have removed one sensor and pluged the hole with a bolt. This would cause an ecu error....

Maby double check there is one missing. Then find where the hole has been plugged and buy another knock sensor and that should fix your problem.

Note: All RB Motors i have ever seen have 2 knock sensors
