Bassically the knock sensors are not a on/off pinging/not pinging sensor. They are just a tunned mic mounted in the block. The Values that you get out of them will not be 0 even when there is no pinging. When using the sensors as a guide they say ~60 indicates that you are getting knock (dont know how good a value 60 is) so you should tune it to be blow that. Basically there is a lot of noise in an engine and it is hard to detect knock that acuratly, most of the time its just know good thresholds from practice.

To answer the original questions 100% stock GTR with an exhaust only 127KW at all 4. I have the Dyno graph to prove it. It was done at Bob Wyms 4wd Dyno in Sydney. I saw an R32 do 158kw on the same day on 2 wheels.
